Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale is an American basketball player with the Dallas Wings in the Women's National Basketball Association. She was part of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in college before she was drafted with the number 5 overall by the Wings during the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale, born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on March 2 1997. She was the second child of Yolanda Ogunbowale as well as Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26 years) and Dare Ogunbowale (19 years) are her brothers older than her. The youngest sibling, she received the most attention from her parents. Gregory, Gregory's father, worked in the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale's family is with ties to the sports world. Her brother Dare was a football player and Yolanda, her mother, was a softball player. The aunt she played with was a volleyball player for UAPB as well as Endia is a Volleyball player in Tennessee State. Ogunbowale is in the school's honor roll for the past three years. During her time in high school, Ogunbowale received numerous awards and has was recognized as a celebrity. Arike received her diploma from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School which is located in her hometown. As a student at the school, she also played three seasons of varsity soccer. Ogunbowale's skills led her to impressive victories while at the school. She finished her high school record with 73 starts in her career and lists her career's totals as 1 477 and 739 rebound. Ogunbowale has won gold at the 2013 U16 FIBA Americas Championships and 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships, and the 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championships. The 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team was announced on the 7th July 2014. Ogunbowale is also named to the ACC All-Freshman Team for her first time in a collegiate game. Kobe Bryant himself congratulated Ogunbowale following his NCCA Tournament big shot. Although still a newbie Ogunbowale has already established herself as an exceptional basketball player, and she is bound to keep her track. Arike ogunbowale is believed to have a net worth of $5 million, according to an anonymous source. Ogunbowale is not only a great basketball athlete. She excels at many different sports, too. She plays soccer too and has even won three State Cup championships with her club Lake County United Soccer Club as well as a State cup championship with FC Milwaukee Soccer Club. She even studied piano for seven years.
